Billy Ray Cyrus took on a part in Doc (2001), starring in the TV show. Cyrus began thinking about acting in this time. Her first acting role was alongside her dad in Doc (2001). She also had one small character in Tim Burton's Big Fish. Cyrus was the lead character in Hannah Montana (2006). The show revolves around an adolescent girl who lives a life that is like the world's biggest pop star. She was accompanied by her father for the second time. The show was later to become a massive hit. Record sales, tour dates that were sold out and agreements with merchandise companies followed. Cyrus was a teenager-making star. After the success of Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus began to play other characters. Cyrus played Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
